Konstantinos Koukoulis

Konstantinos was born in Athens in 1987. He graduated from the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of Aegean in Mytilene, Lesvos in 2011. He worked as an assistant director and photographer in various short and feature length fiction films, and is currently engaged in directing a documentary on the social and political analysis of plastic arts in public space. Konstantinos has been studying to learn the Turkish language as he intends to move to Turkey this year in order to continue with his film studies.

Konstantinos says:

“I want to come closer with people from the coasts of the North Aegean region irrespective of their creed, religion, culture and beliefs, and to continue discovering the Turkish culture. What I would like to accomplish through the North Aegean Narratives is to create a mental bridge for the residents of those coasts who share a great number of common problems such as the environmental issues, racism, economic development etc.”
